About XTube Downloader
Creators remove content and platforms change policies without warning. XTube Downloader lets you archive videos you want to keep, directly to your hard drive as standard MP4 files. The original video title becomes the file name, so your library stays organized effortlessly.
Privacy is built into every step. The extension never transmits data to external servers—all stream detection and downloading happens locally in your browser. Desktop notifications confirm when each download is complete, but nothing about your activity leaves your machine.
You control the quality. Before saving, you see every available resolution tier with estimated file sizes. Choose the version that balances quality and storage, and the extension handles the rest with automatic retry if a connection drops.

Useful for archiving XTube favorites
Content on XTube disappears all the time. This extension lets me save the videos I care about in full quality. The queue manager is handy when I find several worth keeping at once.

Truly private downloading
Privacy was my biggest concern and this nails it. Nothing leaves my computer, no analytics, no cloud processing. Just a clean download straight to my hard drive.

Auto-resume actually works
Had a download interrupted by a power blip and the auto-resume picked up right where it stopped. Did not have to re-download the first 800 MB. Impressive reliability.
