What happens when a TCams show turns private?

The recorder stops being able to follow it. Private, spy and any other paid sessions are left alone; only the free public part of a TCams show is saved.

Will my desktop or other tabs show up in the recording?

No. The extension saves the room's stream itself, so nothing else on your screen appears in the MP4.

Which quality can I choose?

Any of the levels the room is broadcasting, as listed in the popup. Each performer's camera and connection decide the top level.

A performer was live earlier and I missed her. Can I still get that show?

No. The extension records live rooms from your Start press; finished broadcasts cannot be saved afterwards.

Are my TCams recordings private?

They stay on your computer. Files are assembled in your browser and saved to Downloads, and SERP does not receive them.

Do I have to stay on the room?

Keep the room's tab open until your Stop press. The capture runs in that tab, so closing it ends the recording early.

What setup do I need to record tcams.me?

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Whale and Yandex, running on a Windows, macOS or Linux desktop. Firefox, Safari and phones are not supported at all.

About TCams Video Downloader

A TCams recorder for fans of the site's trans performers who would rather keep a great public show than hope it happens again. tcams.me is built entirely around trans cam rooms, and performers go live when it suits them, so the show you are enjoying tonight may not have a repeat. Rather than spending that moment arranging scenes in a streaming program, you can save it straight from the room.

A Download button is added to the player in every public TCams room; clicking it opens a short quality menu. Through the toolbar popup you see the room's name, a list of the quality levels it streams, and Start and Stop controls with a timer. There is a right-click entry too, Download TCams Stream, for when the menu is closer than the button. Once you start, recording carries on until you press Stop in the popup, close the progress panel with its X, or the performer ends her or their broadcast.

Shows are saved as MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, assembled locally by your browser. There are no scenes, sources or encoder settings to get right first, and nothing on your screen ends up in the file except the performer's stream. Quality comes from the levels the room actually offers. Every file is named after the room and stored in a TCAMS folder in Downloads, and none of it is uploaded to SERP. The extension has no ads and no tracking.
