About My Chat Video Downloader

The name My Chat gets confused with messaging apps all the time, so to be clear: this extension is for mychat.com, the live cam site where performers broadcast to viewers in public rooms. If that is the site you meant, the mychat.com cam recorder lets you keep a public show by saving its live video and sound to your computer as an MP4. It does not record messages, calls or anything from a chat app.

Using it is straightforward. When you are in a room that is live and public, you will see a Download button on the My Chat video player; click it and choose a quality to start recording. The toolbar popup offers another way in, with extra detail: the room name, the qualities on offer, Start and Stop and a timer. If you are a right-click person, choose Download My Chat Stream.
