If you prefer the toolbar, the extension's popup shows the room name, the qualities that room is broadcasting, and Start and Stop next to a timer. Right-clicking the page offers Download Its Live Stream as well. After that it keeps going while the room is on air, and ends when you hit Stop in the popup, dismiss the on-page progress panel with its X, or the broadcast closes.

The file you keep is an MP4, H.264 video plus AAC audio, assembled locally by your browser so nothing depends on a remote service.
