Open a room that is live and public and look at the player: a Download button has been added to it, and clicking it opens a short quality menu that starts the recording. The extension's toolbar popup gives you a Start control plus the room name, a quality menu and a clock that counts the recording time. There is also a Download Cam Model Stream entry when you right-click the page. Stop the recording whenever you want from the popup or the X on the progress panel; if the stream ends first, the extension finishes the file.

Each recording becomes an MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, assembled locally rather than on a server. Files take their names from the room and are saved in a CAMMODEL folder in Downloads, which keeps them separate from anything else you save. Pick a quality the room actually broadcasts.
