About 8Tube Video Downloader
An 8Tube live cam recorder clears up a common mix-up first. The name suggests a tube site full of uploaded clips, yet 8tube.com is a live cam site: every room is a performer broadcasting right now, and there is no library of finished videos behind them. That is why tube-style downloaders, the kind that ask for a link to a video, tend to come back empty here. What you actually need is something that records the room while it plays, and that is exactly the job of this extension.
Go into any public 8Tube room and look at the player: a Download button has been added to it, and clicking it opens a quality menu. The popup in your toolbar names the room, lists the qualities the stream carries, and offers Start and Stop beside a timer. Right-click the page for one more route in, Download 8Tube Stream. Your capture keeps running until you hit Stop in the popup, click the X on the progress panel, or the broadcast finishes.
The output is an MP4 file using H.264 for the picture and AAC for the sound, which your browser builds on your own PC. Quality is the level you selected from those the room is sending. Every file gets the room's name and lands in an 8TUBE folder inside Downloads. Recordings never travel to SERP, and the extension shows no ads and runs no tracking, which also means no detour through a downloader website loaded with pop-ups.
The extension runs on desktop computers with Windows, macOS or Linux, in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Whale or Yandex. Not really. Despite its name, 8tube.com is a live cam site: the rooms are performers streaming in real time. There are no uploaded videos to download, so you record the live room instead.
