If a room streams in high definition, that level appears in the quality list of the popup and the player's Download menu, and you can choose it. Rooms that broadcast at lower quality can only be recorded at the levels they offer.

Yes. 4cam.com can be shown in Italian and several other languages, and the recorder behaves the same in all of them.

Can I add 4Cam shows to Plex or another media library?

The recordings are standard MP4 files with H.264 video and AAC audio, so media library apps that read MP4 can index them. Point the app at your 4CAMCOM folder.

Will private 4Cam shows go into my library too?

About 4Cam Video Downloader

4Cam.com advertises live HD cams and free video chat, and regular visitors tend to collect favorites. The problem with collecting live shows is that they leave nothing behind. This 4Cam downloader turns the public broadcasts you care about into a neat library: every recording is an MP4, named after its room and filed in the same folder, ready to browse like any other video collection.

Adding a show to the library is quick. Open a public room on 4cam.com while it is live and click the Download button that the extension adds to the player, then choose a quality from its menu. If you would rather work from the toolbar, use the popup, where you will see the room name, the levels on offer, Start and Stop, and a running timer. A right-click on the page gives you Download 4Cam Stream as well. The capture lasts until you stop it, using Stop in the popup or the X on the progress panel on the page, or until the performer finishes.
