About edX Downloader

Turn your commute into a classroom with edX Downloader. It detects and downloads embedded lecture videos from Kaltura or YouTube, preserving original quality up to 1080p or 4K. You can queue entire course modules at once, with automatic retry if a download fails, so your library builds seamlessly in the background.

Once downloaded, your videos are automatically organized by course name and module. No more hunting through files or worrying about streaming interruptions. Subtitles and captions are extracted in SRT format, so you can follow along even in noisy environments or when you need quiet study time.

Review complex STEM topics at your own pace, free from buffering. Keep course materials accessible long after enrollment periods expire. edX Downloader gives you the freedom to learn on your terms, wherever life takes you.

Useful for edX students who travel

I'm doing an MIT MicroMasters on edX and this tool saved me when I had a 12-hour flight with no WiFi. Downloaded all my lectures the night before and studied the entire trip.

Batch downloads make edX studying effortless

The batch queue feature is what sold me. I queue up an entire week of CS50 lectures and let it run overnight. Everything is neatly organized in folders by module.
