About Libsyn Downloader

Many great podcasts on Libsyn go dormant when creators stop updating feeds or paying for hosting. Libsyn Downloader lets you archive those episodes directly from show websites, directory pages, or embedded players. The extension recognizes Libsyn CDN media URLs wherever the episode is embedded, then downloads the original audio file. Each download includes show and episode metadata in the filename for easy organization.

Using the tool is straightforward: navigate to a Libsyn-hosted episode, click the extension icon or right-click to scan for media, and select the episode to download. A real-time progress display shows download speed, file size, and estimated completion. When the file is ready, a desktop notification appears, so you can browse other tabs freely while it works.

Protect your favorite shows from digital disappearance. All downloads happen within your normal browsing session—no manual cookie or token export needed—and your license key and quality preferences are stored locally with zero analytics or tracking. Offline listening during travel or commutes becomes effortless when you have a personal backup library.

Happy Users

Recent customer feedback

Short, practical feedback from people using Libsyn Downloader in real workflows.

Made my Libsyn migration painless

I host two shows on Libsyn and wanted local copies of every episode before switching providers. This grabbed all 200+ episodes cleanly with the original filenames. Saved me hours.

Archived a dying podcast just in time

A small history podcast I follow stopped updating and I was worried the feed would disappear. Downloaded every episode in an afternoon. Audio quality is as good as streaming.

Finds Libsyn audio everywhere

The fact that it picks up Libsyn players embedded on random WordPress sites is the killer feature. Works exactly as described, no fuss.
